Loose Change Win Battle Of The Bands 2014

LOOSE CHANGE WIN BATTLE OF THE BANDS 2014

On the 5th February, Loose Change competed at The Harrodian School's annual Battle Of The Bands competition. They finished in first place alongside Mille Davis and both artists were given the opportunity to play at the Isle of Wight Festival 2014.

The Harrodian School hosts the Battle of the Bands every year in their theatre. Each year John Giddings and Molly McQueen are accompanied by two other judges and are presented all the bands and solo artists that the school has to offer. After all the bands have played, the judges decide to award one solo artist and one band the opportunity to play at the Isle of Wight Festival and to have their names engraved on a silver trophy guitar.

This year, the solo artist is Millie Davis and the band is, of course, Loose Change! The whole band is over the moon about their opportunity to play this amazing venue and are really excited to get playing. But first the band must complete their final GCSE exams. Their final exam happens to finish on the 12th, so they will be coming out of an exam hall, straight to a stage at the Isle of Wight Festival!

Overall, Loose Change's performance went well. Especially when you compare it to their performance last year in 2013. This year, the song was levelled, in tune, energetic and truly felt. A lot more practice, performance wise, was a big contribution to our development, as well as the Harrodian School's music department including Helena ReynoldsMark Dowd and Dave Colquhoun.
